Delete Inhibit and Rename Inhibit folder and file attributes are lost after migrating data to Win -
Description
Users are now able to rename or delete files and folders in Windows where before the migration they were unable to in the NetWare File System environment. -
Cause
Because of the way the Windows File System is structured, there is no way for NDS Migrator to translate certain Novell File System attributes into a Windows environment, specifically Rename Inhibit, Delete Inhibit and Purge Immediate.

Resolution
More restrictive permission assignments must be manually assigned within the Windows file system.

These are the four Netware file attributes and one Netware file status that NDS Migrator is designed to migrate:
Read Only (file attribute)
Hidden (file attribute)
System (file attribute)
File is compressed (file status)
Immediate Compress (file attribute)
Other Netware attributes (such as Purge Immediate, Rename Inhibit, and Delete Inhibit) are not migrated -
