If there are a large number of objects in an import file that are already mapped in the NDS Migrator SQL database it may be desirable to import the file without having to remove those mappings from the import file, but without changing the Migration Status or Migration Action status's of those objects already mapped.
For example, an object mapping already in the database may have a Migration Status of 'matched' or 'excluded' and a Migration Action of 'Do not migrate'. However, in the import file, all mappings may have a Migration Status of 'Not migrated' and a Migration Action of 'Migrate'. These are the default values if those fields are absent from the import file.
Select the option to 'use values specified in the import file' when importing the file.
For each object that already appears in the NDS Migrator database the following line will appear in the ImportCSV_<datestamp>_<timestamp>.log which will be located in the logs directory under the NDS Migrator root installation directory:
"Mapping entry #2 already exists in the database, entry will not be added."
The Migration Status and Migration Action will remain unchanged for these objects. For the new object mappings either the default values or the values specified in the import file will be used.
