Workstation Updater: Error: <computername>: Could not set the target computer for the Sched (16026)

Error received in the Workstation Updater (WUPD) logs when trying to update resources on a computer that has already been migrated to a domain.

"17 - 14:16:10 : ***Error: COMPUTERNAME: Could not set the target computer for the Scheduling Agent. The operation completed successfully."

The task is not scheduled and the resources are not updated.

The Remote Registry Service on the target computer is set to manual or disabled.

Set the Remote Registry Service on the target computer to automatic:

1. Open the Services MMC, by selecting Start | Run | type services.msc and press return.

2. Locate the Remote Registry Service in the list.

3. Right-click Remote Registry and select Properties.

4. Under the General tab, verify that the Start-up type is set to automatic.
