In "Step 4: Create a Recipient Policy for the Temporary Subdomain", how would I create the 'migrate.domain.com' Recipient Policy as described?
To create the Recipient Policy for Exchange 2003, please review the following Microsoft Knowledgebase article 289833 titled "How to receive messages for two SMTP domains using Exchange Server 2003 or Exchange 2000 Server" for more information:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289833/
Once the subdomain is configured (See Solution 28071 titled "In "Step 3: Create a Temporary Subdomain for the Migration", how would I create the 'migrate.domain.com' and MX record as described?) and the Exchange Recipient policy is set to receive mail for the subdomain, please send mail from GroupWise to the subdomain address (i.e. 'UserName@migrate.domain.com') to validate email routing is working as desired prior to continuing.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This step is only for use when utilizing SMTP for email routing for a co-existence scenario. The decision to utilize SMTP verses Connector verses a hybrid (SMTP and Connector) co-existence is based solely on business need. Please review each option to see what benefits (and drawbacks) each scenario has that may impact the environment and migration process.
