Getting "An error occurred during cryptographic operation" when attempting to register a new agen (4346925)

When trying to register a new agent host it fails with an error "An error occurred during cryptographic operation".

This is caused by the lengths of the service accounts password, when the password contains 22 or more characters.

As workaround use a password with 21 character or less.

Note: despite the error the new agent host is registered successfully and appears in the DB and in the list of available agents.
 

An official Change Request (CR) has been created for this issue, # 210517.
Also another CR 208182, ST80279, has been created for a similar issue: If a long password is used for a service account, you will not be able to refresh the exchange orgs.
