If mailbox was added to mail synchronization collection indirectly through Distribution List (DL) membership, this mailbox does not showing up as a separate member of the collection, only the DL (Distribution List) does. Normally every mailbox can be switched manually by right clicking on the object in project manager and clicking "Switch Mailboxes". How this can be achieved in the DL scenario?

Even though this mailbox is not displayed in the collection where it is a member via DL (Distribution List) it still can be found in "All Mailboxes" collection. The "All Mailboxes" collection is a system collection and automatically includes all the mailboxes hosted on the source Exchange server. Find the mailbox that needs to be switched, right click and select "Switch Mailboxes".
