Resource Updating Manager 8.7 - RUM tasks stuck in queued state, LDAP Error 0x33 Busy in the logs (83871)

In some situations, you may experience the write lock in Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) when a task initiated by the RUM Controller service starts.
 

1. A RUM task (Discovery, Processing, Move, Scripting, Cleanup) hangs.
2. The RUMController log file contains the following error message: “LDAP Error 0x33. Busy.”

This is a known issue with Resource Updating Manager when several threads try to update different ADAM objects linked between each other, causing locks in ADAM database.

Upgrade to Migration Manager 8.8 to resolve this problem or install Migration Manager Update 20110629 (requires update 20110311 installed)
