The DSA uses the following query to count licenses.
(&(!(aelita-Amm-Deleted=TRUE))(objectCategory=aelita-Amm-ObjectPair)(aelita-Amm-MigratedIn=*)(|(aelita-Amm-SourceType=user)(aelita-Amm-SourceType=inetOrgPerson))(!(aelita-Amm-MultipleMigration=TRUE)))
First we must remove any duplicates or objects where deleted at the target. To accomplish this you can use the 2 scripts that are attached to the KB article.
RemoveDuplicateADAMEntries.zip
QMM_RemoveInvalidMapEntriesScript_1.2.zip
Once the 2 scripts have been ran you must connect to the AD LDS Database following the steps below.
1. Open ADSIEdit and then in the left hand column right click on “ADSI Edit” and select “Connect to”
2. In the connection settings window you can name the connection MMAD AD LDS
3. Click on the “Select or type a Distinguished Name or Naming Context” radio button and type in CN=QMMADProject **this is the default project database name.
4. Click on the “Select or type a domain or server: (Server | Domain [:port]) and type in the server name that contains the AD LDS Database.
5. Click on Ok to connect to the AD LDS Database.
Once connected to the AD LDS Database you can then create a new query to run against the database. To create a query follow the steps below.
1. Right click on “Default Naming Context [ServerName]” amd select New | Query from the list.
2. In the next windows give the query a name such as License.
3. Click on the “Browse” button and select “QMMADProject” and click on OK.
4. Copy and paste the query from above into the “Query String” window and click on OK
Once the query has been created double click on the query and it will pull a list of the matched objects from the AD LDS Database. From there you can check the properties of each object to see what object was migrated.
