During directory synchronization, Active Directory returns an empty page before listing the actua (4295659)

Directory synchronization is working but never switches from Initial synchronization to Delta Synchronization, Migration Manager Console displays the Initial synchronization status indefinitely.

Sometimes during directory synchronization, Active Directory returns an empty page before listing the actual changes. DSA does not handle this situation correctly and enters an endless loop.

This issue has been resolved in Update 20091211 and if you are using QMM 8.3 you can download this hotfix (called,Quest Migration Manager 8.3 Update 20091211) from:
prod.quest.corpSupportWMPatchesSOL59530

Before you install the hotfix, make sure that Quest Migration Manager 8.3 Update 20090325 is installed. Otherwise, installation of this hotfix will fail. To install the update, complete the following steps:

1. Stop all synchronization, migration and delegated migration jobs that may be in progress.
2. Unpack the update package to any folder.
3. On all computers with Directory Synchronization Agents, do the following:
   -Close Migration Manager Console if it is running.
   -Run the MigrationManager8.3Update20091211.exe file and complete the update setup wizard.

The installation does not affect existing settings. All your projects remain intact and can be continued after installation.

Note: this hotfix applies to QMM 8.3 only

If you are using QMM 8.4it is recommendedto upgrade to QMM 8.5 because this hotfix is incorporated into QMM 8.5.
