Description
Why "Keeping Existing Lync Infrastructure" solution for Migration Manager requires to refrain from deleting source account after migration has been completed. -
Cause
MMAD doesn't migrate Lync related attributes but updates existing source account in order to provide access for newly created target users. It updates source OriginatorSID value with corresponding target account SID which means that source account is still required to authenticate on Lync server. -
Resolution
For security reason source account can be disabled but should still exist in source AD.
