Cause
If connection to the ADAM / AD LDS database was lost during the uninstall of a DSA agent, then the agent will still appear within the list of installed agents within Agent Manager. -
Resolution
To remove a DSA agent from the AD LDS database so it disappears from the list in Agent Manager you can follow the steps below.
***Important: Back up the AD LDS database prior to following the below instructions:
1. Open ADSIedit
2. Provide ADAM/AD LDS server name and port number. Select Distinguished name (DN) or naming context and specify CN=, for example CN=QMM1. The name of QMM project can be found when running Open Project Wizard or its also listed on the top of QMM project Manager in parenthesis.
3. Expand CN=AMMProject_(This is generated, so it will vary per ADAM project)
4. Expand CN=Agents
5. Locate the DSA agent you wish to remove and right-click and select Delete
This will completely delete the DSA agent and all associated configuration from the AD LDS database. Back in the UI you can refresh Agent Manager and the agent should disappear from the list.
