Duplicate source domain NetBIOS names, password synchronization errors -
Description
Several domains are synchronizing to the same target domain. For two of them the source NetBIOS domain name is the same, but FQDNs are different. Trusts do not exist between at least one source domain and target because they cannot be created in this scenario. Name resolution is set via hosts file. Migration and synchronization works, but passwords are not synchronized. In the dsa.log files, depending on whether preferred DC is set to IP address or FQDN of the source DC there is one of the following errors:
