Migration fails with Error 0xe30000a4. Object ... was not created on target. Its parent has proba (25506)

Migration session log file contains following errors:

Object Class: User

Error 0xe30000a4. Object: LDAP://domain.com/CN=username,OU=XXX,DC=domain,DC=com was not created on target. Its parent has probably been deleted after migration.

The object has not been migrated and was not created in target domain

The error indicates that the parent object was not created on target. In most cases this happens when migration session is performed for an OU which contains users and groups.

If migration (creation) of the OU fails than the objects can not be created because the hierarchy (the parent object) does not exist.

Verify why the parent OU could not be migrated and resolve the problem.


Possible workaround:

1. Pre-create the OU in target domain manually.

2. Migrate the user or group without selecting the parent OU in source, during migration select the option "Migrate objects without OU's as a flat list"
