After upgrading SharePoint using the database attach method, an error similar to the example below is encountered in the new farm. NOTE: The column name reported may vary.
When installing a newer version of StoragePoint in a SharePoint farm where a proper SharePoint upgrade has occurred or will be taking place, it is recommended to use the following process:
Otherwise, the issue can happen if there is a version mismatch between the old and new farms causing differences in database schema. Below is an example:
If StoragePoint has been installed in the destination farm prior to restoring a backup of the StoragePoint database in that environment, and then the source database has been restored over what was created in the destination, there may be objects not present in the schema that are necessary for the newer version of StoragePoint to operate.
The StoragePoint setup file is backward compatible and will upgrade old database schemas. To resolve the issue, run the StoragePoint setup file in "DBOnly" mode.
