This issue occurs when the account running the SharePoint Management Shell (or the StoragePoint Management Shell) does not have proper access to the primary or system cache endpoints. Similar errors may occur if the account does not have the proper database permissions on the dbo and/or RBS schema objects with the content databases.
Access PowerShell module using an account that has Full Control permission to the file share, as well as db_owner role on the SharePoint_Config, SharePoint Content Databases, and the StoragePoint database.
