When attempting to activate license for Essentials For Office 365, you are getting errors, or inconsistent license usage data.
In the Essentials console, go to the upper right corner, click on the Help tab.
Next in the upper right on the ribbon, click on Log Manager > Show Workspace.
Clowe the Essentials console, and navigate to the location shown in the above step, using Windows File Explorer.
Delete the file \.metadata\license.txt.
Re-open your Essentials console, and re-activate your license.
