License Activation Failed (4286078)

ControlPoint license activation fails with the following error message:

Severity: Error Switch: GeneralTrace Message: Error on license activation:
System.NET.WebException: The remote Name Could not be resolved: ‘License.metalogix.com’

License activation will fail if there is no internet connection available on the server where ControlPoint is installed.

1. Launch the ControlPoint License Manager as an administrator.
2. Select either the "Performed a new install of ControlPoint on your first farm" or "Changed or renewed the term of your ControlPoint License" option, then click Manage Licenses.

   

3. Enter the license key and click Activate Offline.
4. Click either the Copy Activation Data to Clipboard or Save Activation Data to File.

   

5. Launch a browser and go to https://offline.metalogix.com, paste or upload the activation file, then click Activate.

   

6. When the activation is successful, save the activation response file to the ControlPoint server.

   

7. Repeat steps 1 to 3, upload the activation response file and click Activate.

   

8. Click Record License Info to complete the license activation.
