When launching the ControlPoint application, its right pane displays an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" or "The webpage cannot be found" message.
By default, the right pane of ControlPoint displays the Axceler ControlPoint Café, an online community that requires an internet connection. If the server or workstation being used to access ControlPoint does not have an internet connection, or an administrator prefers displaying a different page other than the Axceler ControlPoint Café, any of the following options can be performed:
a. Add a new item to the ControlPoint Settings
1. On the ControlPoint Settings page, click New Item.
2. Specify the following:
Category: Special-Purpose
3. Click Save.
4. Add another new item and specify the following:
Category: Special-Purpose
5. Open the IIS Manager and recycle the ControlPoint application pool.
b. Specify a different URL for the “InitScreen”
1. Using Notepad, open ..\14\Template\Layouts\Axceler\App_GlobalResources\Help.resx.
2. Specify a preferred URL for the "InitScreen" such as the one below:
3. Save the file.
