The provided URI scheme 'https' is invalid; expected 'http' (4278881)

When accessing reports or actions, the following error message is encountered:

The provided URI scheme 'https' is invalid; expected 'http'

The issue occurs because SSL/HTTPS is not configured correctly.

1. Set up the correct bindings/certificate for the HTTPS address. For additional information, please click here.
2. Make sure the alternate access mapping for ControlPoint has been set up. For additional information, please click here.
3. Confirm the ControlPoint farm URL has been edited to show the HTTPS URL.

   a. On the ControlPoint application page, click Manage > ControlPoint Configuration > Manage Farm List.
   b. Make sure the Farm URL matches the HTTPS URL for ControlPoint. If not, check the box next to it, click Edit and enter the correct HTTPS URL.

   

4. On each web front-end (WFE) server, open the <SharePoint hive folder>\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\Axceler\web.config file.

   a. Change uncommented instances of TransportCredentialOnly to Transport.
   b. Change uncommented instances of httpGetEnabled to httpsGetEnabled.
   c. Change uncommented instances of httpTransport to httpsTransport.
   d. Repeat the process for all WFE servers.

5. Modify the xcClient.exe.config file for SSL.

   a. Open the ..\Program Files\Metalogix\ControlPoint\ControlPointFeatures\xcClient.exe.config file.
   b. Edit the following lines so that http is replaced with https, then save the file.
   
   <add key=”CPWEBSITEURL” value=http://servername:1818” />
   <add key=”ControlPointURL” value=http://servername:1818” />

6. Run the ControlPoint License Manager.

   a. Right-click on the ControlPoint License Manager and select Run as administrator.
   b. Select the Changed or renewed the term of your ControlPoint License option.
   b. Click Record License Info.
