Distributed migration jobs fail randomly and get re-queued continuously failing each time with random errors -
Description
In migrations farms with Distributed model configured, migration jobs might fail randomly and get queued-up or assigned repeatedly without any pattern. -
Cause
Multiple instance of Content Matrix console are running in the controller, resulting in more than one Remote Job Scheduler. Each instance of the Scheduler tries to process the queue at the same time causing collision. -
Resolution
Only one instance of Content Matrix Console application should be running on the controller. When you notice unexpected behavior, close the console and kill background instances of Content Matrix application using task manager. Then, relaunch Content Matrix.
