When a license key was activated offline, by default, it has to be reactivated every 30 days. Otherwise, an error message similar to the following will be displayed:
Your license could not be validated online. You have 9 days to re-activate it. After the date, your license will be invalid.
You have exceeded the allowed offline validation period. Please re-activate your license.
If the license key cannot be activated and/or an error message similar to the following is encountered:
Failed to generate offline activation data: Unspecified error.
Failed to generate offline activation data: The actual license must be revalidated before applying the new license key.
When the License Usage is greater than the purchased license capacity, existing and new connections may appear as read-only on the console and/or the error messages below may be encountered.
You have used more capacity than your current Content Matrix/Organizer license includes. Please contact your Quest sales representative or email sales@quest.com.
Please note that this connection has been placed into read-only mode. To enable writing to this connection, please use the Content Matrix Installer to deploy the Content Matrix Organizer or License Check server components in the target environment.
If the error message below is displayed when migrating to SharePoint Online, contact your organization's Quest sales representative or send an email to sales@quest.com to make sure the SharePoint Online feature is enabled for the Content Matrix license key.
The license is not eligible for migrations to SharePoint Online.
For expired, disabled and invalid licenses or if the license key needs to be modified, please contact your organization's Quest sales representative or send an email to sales@quest.com.
