When running a Public Folder gathering, it appears that gatherings are successful, yet when I run some Public Folder reports, they are empty or some of the fields contain no data. Also, sometimes when running a Public Folder gathering, the console sits at 0% with no action and then after 10 minutes the console displays a database timeout error.
Both Organization and Server Public Folder gatherings need to be performed successfully in order to report on all Public Folder information. The raw organization public folder gathering gathers the following attributes for each public folder that is enumerated: objectClass, distinguishedName, cn, legacyExchangeDN, containerName, primarySmtpEmailAddress, folderPath and parentPath. The server public folder gathering gathers all of the remaining information that is shown in the reports, including the metric information (number of subfolders, number of items in folder, size of folder) and the number of replicas.
It is likely that the server public folder gathering is timing out. To resolve the issue increase the command timeout to 3600 from 60 and re-run the Public Folder gatherings.
