For most of the reports, soft deleted mailboxes would show while hard deleted mailboxes would not. Specially soft deleted mailboxes would be in Inventory - Orphaned Mailboxes report while hard deleted mailboxes would be in Inventory - Deleted Mailboxes report. There is no way to exclude soft deleted mailboxes in the reports.
When you disable/delete a mailbox from EMC, it is just marked as removal - soft deleted. The mailbox is not deleted from database at this time. It will be hard deleted from the mailbox database after the mailbox retention period expires.
To tell whether a mailbox is hard deleted, run Get-MailboxStatistics against its original hosted database. If the mailbox is not listed in the result, it is hard deleted.
