Warning occurs during Directory Lookup task: "An error occurred getting the Downlevel Account by Name information <path to object> unspecified error."

CAUSE

This warning appears when Messagestats is unable to resolve the SID (Security Identifier) to the Windows account that is associated with a mailbox that been gathered. One possible and fairly common reason this would occur is if the name of the Windows user account or alias that is associated with the mailbox had changed or been deleted since the last time that mailbox was gathered.

This issue is addressed in MessageStats 5.6. This version now uses a faster SID lookup method that looks up the SID during every gathering, as opposed to caching it, that way the current Windows user account name is always retrieved.
