Cause
The Exchange Server used as the connection server was taken off line.

Resolution
1. Open the MessageStats Console, Expand "Exchange Organizations"
2. Right click you organization name and click properties.
3. Select the Connection Server tab and type the NetBIOS name of a valid connection server | click "Validate" then "OK"
4. Right click your organization name and click Regather Structure.
5. Run your gathering task again.
