Why do Mailbox Activity reports show fewer mailboxes than the Mailbox Inventory reports?
The Mailbox Activity report will only show Mailboxes that have been referenced in the Exchange Message Tracking logs as having sent or received message, for the time period set in the report filters. If there are mailboxes in the environment that have not actively sent or received messages during this time period they would display in the mailbox inventory reports, but not the mailbox activity reports.
