When one or more MessageStats gathering consoles are removed incorrectly, for instance by not using Add or Remove Programs to remove it, the following warning occurs constantly when a scheduled or automated gathering occurs: "This task conflicts with server (ComputerName) task on default interactive/automated on (ComputerName). You should not schedule it unless you have used recurrence to distribute tasks. Are you sure you want to schedule this task?"
1. Open the MessageStats gathering console and remove the servers that are causing the warning messages from the Interactive/Automated gatherings.
2. Close the MessageStats gathering console.
3. Open SQL Enterprise Manager.
4. Connect to the desired SQL server.
5. Expand the Database Folder to show all databases.
6. Select the MessageStats database.
7. Select the Tables Tab.
8. Right-click on the T_Servers Table and select Open Table | Return all rows.
9. Take note of the ServerGUID associated with the Server in the ServerCN column that is causing the warning messages when performing a gathering.
10. Right-click on the T_Tasks Table and select Open Table | Return all rows.
11. Delete the Row that has the ServerGUID in the ServerGUID column that is associated with the server that is causing the warning messages.
12. Close SQL Enterprise Manager.
13. Open the MessageStats gathering console and add Serves to Interactive/Automated gathering.
