Error: "Error running stored procedure The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object sp_OACreat (4237641)

When running the OCS/Lync Server VOIP Call Details task the following error is shown:

"Error running stored procedure The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object sp_OACreate,database mssqlsystemresource,schema sys"

The account running the OCS/Lync Server VOIP Call Details task does not have SysAdmin rights on the SQL server hosting the MessageStats database. the sp_OACreate stored procedure is a SQL Server stored procedure and SysAdmin rights are required to execute it.

WORKAROUND 1:

Grant the account running the task SysAdmin rights on the SQL server where the MessageStats database is hosted

WORKAROUND 2:

If Enterprise Voice is not used or there is no need to collect the VOIP Call Details data, run each of the OCS/Lync tasks against the Lync Pool, omitting the OCS/Lync Server Enterprise Voice task:

1. Open the MessageStats console
2. Delete the Default OCS/Lync Server Gathering if it has been created
3. Expand the OCS/Lync Server node
4. Right click your Lync Pool and select Create Task
5. Provide a name for the task
6. Select the OCS/Lync Server Conferencing Statistics task template and click Next
7. Complete the rest of the Task Wizard
8. Repeat for each of the OCS/Lync Server tasks except for the Default OCS/Lync Server Gathering and the OCS/Lync Server Enterprise Voice tasks
