When attempting to configure the Archive Manager Report Pack the following error is displayed:
"Error creating linked server [Cannot link to an Archive Manager database that is attached to the same SQL instance as the MessageStats database.]"
The creation of a locally-linked database can impair SQL functionality. The MessageStats Report Pack for Archive Manager ensures this no longer happens.Quest Software does not support the installation of the MessageStats database on the same SQL Server Instance as the Archive Manager database.
Separate the MessageStats database and the Archive Manager Database by moving either to a different server from each other.
Quest Software does not recommend that you install MessageStats database on the same SQL server as the Archive Manager database. This scenario can result in a performance impact in your Archive Manager SQL environment.
