Description
The Content and Attachment Gathering fails after being stuck in a pending retry state. Also, Outlook is installed on the MessageStats Console machine or both Exchange System Management tools and Outlook are installed on the MessageStats Console machine.

Cause
The Content and Attachment gathering requires the use of Mapi that is installed with the Exchange System Management tools.

Resolution
To resolve this issue perform the following:
1. If you only have Outlook currently installed, uninstall Outlook and then install the Exchange System Management tools.
or
2. If you have both Outlook and Exchange System Management tools installed. Uninstall both products and reinstall Exchange System Management tools.
