How to generated regularly scheduled reports for my LiteSpeed Maintenance Plans? (4341447)

How  to write the LiteSpeed activity logging  to a text file, HTML or email for my Maintenance Plan tasks?

If it is a legacy Maintenance Plan, prior to v5.0 then a Reporting task can be added to the Maintenance plan that will write the history of the maintenance plan task to text, HTML or email. There is also an option to write the history to the table msdb.dbo.sysdbmainplan_history for further reporting.  

If this is a new Maintenance Plan, created in LiteSpeed v5.0 (or later), there is an icon just above the Maintenance Plan name in Design view called Reporting and Logging, where you  can set logging options for all sub-plans which form part of your Maintenance Plan.
