Can backup templates be use to create Differential and tlog backups?
Resolution
The template is only for Full and Fast Compression. If you want Differentials, you can create a Maintenance Plan.
Steps to create a Maintenance Plan:
- Click on 'Maintenance Plan' on the left side of the LiteSpeed Console. - Right click on the instance and select 'Task|Create new Maintenance Plan. - Name the plan. - Click and drag the 'Back Up Database' task. - Right click the task, select 'Edit' - Enter you selection to set up the plan.
