Upgrade Litsepeed from v4.8 to v5.0.2. When trying to bring up console, the console disappears at the "LiteSpeed splash screen" stage and the message "initialising Object Level Recovery" is visible at the bottom of the remaining splash screen.
Other noticeable error includes
"Unable to find process 'Litespeed.exe', HRESULT 0x80004002 No such interface supported".
Backups can be called from another console on a different machine as can scripted tasks be executed within SSMS.
LiteSpeed does not seem to suppport a systems that have had hotfix KB928365 applied to them.
WORKAROUND:
Install console on a different machine. If on an Itanium-64 machine, make sure Security Update for .NET framework 2.0(IA64) (KB928365) has not been applied to machine.
