Maintenance Plan execution for 'Backup' and 'Update statistics' tasks fails (4240799)

When converting one of  native SQL maintenance plans over to a LiteSpeed maintenance plan, one step of the plan is running the "Update Statistics" task for all tables in a specific database.   The task works in the native SQL maintenance plan but it fails when it is run in a LiteSpeed maintenance plan.on Windows Clusters x64 for SQL 2005
