In v8.0, Logshipping doesn't delete old transaction log file backups
Description

When using LogShipping in Litespeed v8, a logshipping job doesn't clear/delete old transaction log backups, regardless of the retention policy setting.

When it tries to, the following message shows in the Activity window:
'Deleting file '\\Server_name\Filename.trn' failed. GetLastError reports: '5'
Cause

The .trn files are saved with a read-only attribute by default, which wasn't happening in the previous versions. This is causing the SLSLogShip.exe to not be able to remove the file.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Manually change the Read-Only attribute in Windows on the .trn files, and then Litespeed will delete them

STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 8.0.1. The latest version of LiteSpeed for SQL Server can be downloaded here.

Additional Information

To replicate the issue, set up a logshipping plan with backup retention of 1 hour, then after some time, reinitialize it so a new full backup ismade.. Then the issue starts occurring an hour or so after that.
