trying to read online transaction log using log reader and getting a time out error
Description

Failed attempts to read an online transaction log
1. Create a database with a log file larger than 4GB.
2. Use logreader to read it's online transaction log.
3. Logreader fails to read the transaction log and displays a "time out" error.
I have tried a smaller db with less activity, but wasn’t able to get to the transaction list. This particular db that I’m mostly interested to protect is about 200 GB with less than 5 GB of daily TL activity.
Cause

LogReader does not set the connection timeout parameters correctly resulting in failed attempts to read an online transaction log.
Resolution

Status:
Waiting for fix in a future release of LiteSpeed for SQL Server.
