LiteSpeed validates the parameters such as pathname before sending the command to SQL Server to start backing up the data. The parameter check failed, the command was never issued to SQL Server.
If the backup file cannot be created by LiteSpeed, then SQL Server is not even brought into the picture with respect to starting a VDI backup. Therefore there is nothing to report because SQL Server was not involved.
This is not a LiteSpeed problem or defect. LiteSpeed is working as intended. Issue is environment related.
