Backups were failing with Error: 2034 - FATAL cifs_cant_use_detail CIFS cannot connect to share \\172.16.131.16\ShareName (The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.) [at cifs_mount:125] and in GUI having trouble connecting to the data domain repository.
원인
In this instance vRanger servers were added to a new and more secure GPO that enabled SMB signing at the Windows OS level.
해결 방안
Enabling SMB signing on the Data Domain disk unit allowed connection and CIFS mounting.
