When trying to install Toad Data Point 4.2 or 4.3, there is the following error, almost immediately after launching the installer:
'Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.'
If this issue occurs on a Windows 10 machine, verify the version of Windows 10 in the Computer settings screen.
If the version is lower than 1709, this issue can occur.
Ensure that administrator permissions are given to the user running the installer, and that there is full read/write access to the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp folder.
If this issue occurs on a Windows 10 machine, also verify the version of Windows 10 in the Computer settings screen.
If the version is lower than 1709, please install the Windows Update Fall Creators Package, which will bring the Windows 10 version to 1709. Toad Data Point will then install successfully with this version of Windows 10.
