After going idle for some time in SQL Nav, coming back and trying to work in Nav gives the error:
Receive ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
There should still be a connection left open but it is no longer connected. Why is Nav dropping the connection?
This error/message occurs when a connection is lost between the database and SQL Navigator, but Navigator does not have any settings or features that will end a connection that a user leaves opend.
Lost connection is usually due to a network or Oracle setting that kills the session. This often is set when a limit to open sessions has been set by an admin, or a kill if idle setting is enabled. Please check with your DBA or network admin about what is killing the session.
Use the reconnect option before continuing work in Navigator after idle or connection is lost.
This could occur with any version of SQL Navigator.
