NetVault Server: 9.2 Backup Device: Virtual Tape Library (VTL) attached to the NetVault Server and setup with shared drives (Client icons under each drive).
The VTL media is set to 'Read Only' for your benefit, as NetVault has found a problem backing up to certain VTL media (either the media itself i.e. the hard drive and/or connectivity to the hard drive). NetVault marks media as 'Read Only' when it has problems writing to the media.
해결 방안
This issue can be resolved by checking/implementing the following KBAs:
1] Check that the trace isn’t still running on the NetVault Server when not needed:
3] Make sure that all the VTLs Transfer Buffer Size (TBS) is changed from 65537 to the 257 default value, as the TBS is only used when a physical tape library is attached to the NetVault Server and therefore the tape library uses the NetVault Server memory to push the data through faster.
4] Are all of the Clients listed under each Dynamically Shard Drive (DSD) in the same order and to the correct drives?
5] Re-create the VTL i.e. removing the VTL as per all the steps in the following KBA:
Note: By re-creating the VTL, you will lose all your backed up data and we would advise to perform a Data Copy job of all your VTL data to another backup device beforehand!
Then formatting the Drive(s) where VTL was created on and checking/repairing the hard drive using the "chkdsk /f" command whilst running as an administrator. Afterwards create a new VTL in NetVault Device Management.
