Shares are not created on the target device or share when Secure Copy job is run. An error is returned in the logs:
"Error creating share: [Servername\Sharename] The resources must be online on the same node for this operation"
The Target path is located with a DFS [Distributed File System]. Secure Copy does not support DFS.
Every Source and Target device in a Secure Copy job must have an address which resolves in DNS [Domain Name System] on the network. Every device used in the copy job requires a license entry within Secure Copy.
DFS mount points are officially supported because each mount point resides on server on the network. However, the data in the DFS shares can exist anywhere on the network on any number of machines, leaving Secure Copy with no method to enforce licensing on the product.
Define all Source and Target paths and shares with UNC (Universal Naming Convention) paths which point directly to the desired data.
