Is it possible to disable indexing on a traditional repository?

Indexing is enabled on a traditional collection (Gather jobs) to a repository and it isn't used for any event forwarding. Is it possible to disable Indexing or delete the indexing folder without re-creating new repository for the purpose is to recovering disk space?
원인
Indexing consumes a significant amount of disk space and isn't always necessary.
해결 방안
Once a repository is created with an index, it cannot be turned off. The only way to get rid of the index would be to create a new repository without indexing turned on and do a repository consolidation into the new repository.
