The data grid has become a floating window and can not be docked to the SQL Editor.
Usually the data grid window can be docked to the SQL Editor by:
1) Double clicking on the title bar.
2) Clicking on the title bar and dragging it so that the cursor is over the left to right scroll bar area.
If it still will not dock after trying what is mentioned above, then reset all your desktop settings to default by clicking on the drop-down arrow next to the "Save current TOAD desktop" icon in the main tool bar and select "restore default desktop". Once your desktop is reset, try docking it again.
If the window still will not dock, Toad will need to be un-install and re-installed to resolve issue.
