High tempdb utilization when running discoveries or reports

When running discoveries or certain reports, the tempdb space utilization may increase.

Depending on how much data is being collected or the type of query that is run to generate a report (such as getting group members and the nested members), space in the SQL server's tempdb will be used as the data is processed. Once the operation has completed the space used will be returned to the tempdb. This is normal and is not a concern as long as the space used is returned to the tempdb.
