Some Gatherings are hung with a status of Pending and others have been running for longer than 24 hours.
Recently started gatherings are waiting for tasks to complete in previously started gatherings that are still running. If the tasks in the previously running gatherings are not progressing, they will need to be cancelled.
WORKAROUND:
1. Close the MessageStats Console
2. Stop the Quest MessageStats Scheduler Service
3. Ensure all QMSEXEC.exe processes are killed from task manager.
4. Start the Quest MessageStats Scheduler Service
5. Open the MessageStats Console"
6. Expand the Tasks node
7. Starting with the oldest running or pending gathering, expand the Active folder under the gathering name and click the oldest running gathering
8. In the right hand pane right click any tasks that are pending or not progressing and select cancel
9. Continue cancelling task until all tasks have been cancelled or have completed and the gathering completes
10. Repeat steps 7-9 for all remaining gatherings
