Symptoms:
A backup job that was expected to backup some files from a virtual machine is found to be performing an image level backup, but the backup selection screen shows that only a selection of files has been selected.
The backup options are defined by a selection set.
The job log reveals whether the VMware plugin or the File System plugin is used.
Image level backups use the VMware plugin and file level backups use the FIle System plugin.
If the VMware plugin is being used and a fileset has been selected in the backup selection screen, then it is most likely that the backup options set that has been loaded is for an image level backup and not a file level backup.
The job will need to be edited and re-submitted with the correct backup options set.
