Error Message:
No valid BUP URL found. Please check the BUP URL configured under Settings
Symptoms:
When user tries to navigate to Business User Portal under Data Literacy tab, the link not opening from DISuite application.
Resolution:
Please find the steps to configure BUP from the DISuite application:
- For the URL configuration, can you please use the form:
https://<BUP_Host>:<BUP_Port>/erwinBUP/home rather than /login.
- Also, if HTTPS is used, please be aware that the DI Suite/ BUP certificate needs to be imported into the JVM running BUP's truststore for this connection to be successful.
- For this purpose, on the certificate file in .cer format is needed.
To get the certificate you can....
1- Open DI Suite in your browser
2- Click the lock icon next to the URL
3- Click Certificate
4- Then click Details --> Copy to file
5- Use the resulting wizard to export the file
This file should then be copied to the DI Suite server. On the server, assuming the default java truststore is used, you can take the following steps...
1- Copy the certificate file to <Java_Home>\jre\lib\security
2- Open command prompt
3- Run the following....
cd <Java_Home>\jre\bin
keytool -importcert -file "<Java_Home>\jre\lib\security\<certificate>" -keystore "<Java_Home>\jre\lib\security\cacerts" -alias <alias>
....where Java_Home is the location Java was installed to, certificate is the name of the file exported in the first set of steps and alias is a generic identifier for the certificate (can be any name). When prompted for a password, this will be "changeit" and then enter yes when asked to trust it.
4- Restart Tomcat and try the URL to check if able to access BUP from DISuite.
