MAPI over HTTP in On-Premise
- MAPI Provider:
- Outlook 2013 SP1 15.0.5041.1001 or higher
- On the Archive Manager Server:
- Delete the DWORD value, “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange” “MapiHttpDisabled”, the current logged in user must be the ESM or journal account.
- On the Exchange Server:
- Make sure MAPI over HTTP is enabled.
- Open Exchange Management Shell and run “Get-OrganizationConfig | fl mapi*” to check it. If MapiHttpEnabled is anything other than True, run “Set-OrganizationConfig -MapiHttpEnabled $true” to enable it.
Note: The above change will enable Mapi over HTTP in the environment. The Exchange Administrator must understand what Mapi over HTTP is and that it is now allowed in their Environment before the administrator makes the change. Quest assumes no liability for a mis-configured Exchange environment.
- In the Archive Manager Configuration Console:
- Set “Autodiscover Prefer MAPI over HTTP” to “True” in CC | Advanced Settings
