Active Administrator 5.5 Could not load file or Assembly Interop.VBA
An error may occur when opening the Active Administrator Management (ASM) console after completing an in-place upgrade to Active Administrator version 5.5.
Error: Could not load file or Assembly Interop.VBA, Version=6.0.0.0, The located assembly’s manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. Figure 1).
Figure 1
The Interop.VBA.dll was in use, and did not get updated properly during the Active Administrator upgrade process.
To resolve this issue, locate and rename the Interop.VBA.dll assembly referenced in the error. This Interop.VBA.dll is located in “C:\Program Files\ScriptLogic Corporation\Active Administrator 5\Server”

After renaming the Interop.VBA.dll, open the Control Panel and select Active Administrator 5.5 Server, figure 3). Choose the repair option.

Note:
We have seen similar errors resulting from other files that were not effectively updated during the upgrade process. Scriptlogic.Common.ADObjectPicker.dll and SWATRepsvc.exe are among the common ones. The same solution applies to those files, if similar errors occur immediately after upgrading and opening the Active Administrator Server Management console.
